The device I have chosen for my Google image is the telephone.  The telephone is a very important invention to my life, and almost every other person on the planet.  This device is used for COMMUNICATION, under which it is categorized.

The person who first invented the telephone was Alexander Graham Bell. He created the first telephone in the year of 1876.  He created this originally while working on ways to improve the telegraph.

The task that the telephone accomplishes is to transmit and receive sound data.  In other words, to allow communication between two phone lines.  Simple as that.

The telephone started out where the hearing device and the talking device were separate (like in the movie Aristocats!!) Then it moved to a dial phone, then to a full receiver wall plug-in, then to the cordless phone.  And let’s not forget the cellphone!! Probably the most useful invention ever!

The telephone has had a tremendous effect on our world.  Everyone pretty much owns a telephone, and everyone pretty much calls each other to communicate.  People barely send telegraphs anymore… think they got rid of those almost altogether… :)      People always are on their cellphones and phones talking.

obamalogo.jpgThis is Obama’s symbol. His slogan is “Hope. Action. Change.” The slogan and picture work to convey their message by showing that Obama is a bright future for America. The rising sun symbolizes to me a bright new day, or perhaps in politics, a presidential candidate who will bring change and brightness. “Hope” for our people and country, “Action” to take action and bring forth new ways, and “Change” as change for the better. The idea of a fresh start and hope for our people are conveyed through these advertising symbols. :D
