Mine: kettpresphotoshop1.jpg Original: mlk_message_poster.jpg

(1) My new design is like the other one because it uses the same color scheme and the same layout. I edited Barack Obama in a way that made him look like Martin Luther King Jr. looked in the original. The colors, proportions and even the text (!) is the same. The ways they are different and the way I made it original was by using Obama’s message as the text, and used Obama. NO WAY?! In the bottom text box, I wrote about one of his point-of-views.  :D

(2) I chose this issue to be a part of my poster because I believe the war in Iraq is a huge hot button for those in America. In fact, most likely across the world! Bringing this issue into attention and how Barack Obama is opposed to war shows his main difference from the Bush Administration and other candidates, as well. This issue is important to me specifically because I personally believe the war is doing more harm than good. It is good to see the light, and the other view-points, as well. And this is what Obama’s view is, and more views need to be heard.

(3) What worked well for me was using Photoshop to create original images, like the campaign symbol. I liked using the tools to create the image, it gave me some good experience.  The thing I would do differently is maybe have to add an object or thing that is totally your creation and unique to you. This is sort of what advertising is about in a way. Making a unique image to attract viewers. Recreating an image is also a clever way to create an image, but creativity can be reflected by combining both. =]
